Ashok Leyland builds machines that move a nation. The people who build them are every bit as connected as the parts they make, yet day to day, most of them only see their own corner of the system. Team One, Goal One was designed to show them the whole picture.
Start with the person, not the role
The day opened by setting job titles aside. Colleagues discovered each other's choices, ambitions and quirks, and found that the people they had worked beside for years had stories they had never heard. Diversity stopped being a policy word and became something people could see, and enjoy, in the room.
Competition is good. Collaboration is great.
As the day built, teams faced challenges where the obvious move was to win alone. The twist was that the bigger win always sat on the other side of sharing. Some teams saw it early. Some saw it late. Every team talked about it afterwards, and that conversation was the real takeaway.
Take to compete, or give to win-win. The choice is yours.
From I to We to Us
By the close, people who arrived as individuals from different functions were cheering for each other as one team. That is the shift we design for: I show up as myself, we learn to trust each other, and together we leave as us, one team with one goal.
Great engineering teams already know how to compete. Our team building activities for employees help them choose collaboration. Plan a team day with us.
