Called at 6:30, standing by 8:29: a photobooth for the Vestas factory

Designed, printed, fabricated and standing on the factory floor before the deadline, by a team that hadn't slept.

Side by side: the Vestas Diwali photobooth mock-up we shared at night, and the same booth standing in the factory the next morning

The call came at 6:30 in the evening. Vestas needed a Diwali photobooth in their factory. Not a design. The whole thing: designed, printed, fabricated, delivered and standing, before 10 am the next morning.

First, we said "maybe"

We were honest. It was a tight timeline, so we offered what we knew we could promise: the design. The client said they'd get back to us.

Then we went back to the team. The same team that had just run three events in two days, and was already pulling an all-nighter. We laid it out. Tired faces, a short pause, and then: let's do this.

Why we said yes

Two reasons, and neither of them is heroics.

One: it was Vestas. We've worked with them for five years, from townhalls on the blade factory floor to milestone celebrations. When a client like that calls, you don't hand them half a job.

Two: events are like hotel rooms. If a room isn't booked tonight, that night is gone forever. A festival works the same way. If the photobooth isn't there on the day, nobody gets that photo next week. There is no later.

Once we onboard a client, however small the ask, we go all the way.

The night, in four verbs

We designed. No new idea needed, because the idea was already there. The booth carries the same wind theme we built for the rest of the office: a turbine with a diya at its hub, flame petals around it, rangoli in the corners, Vestas blue from edge to edge, and the line Every light has a story. Ours begins with the wind. (Here's the thinking behind that wind.) The frame window sits high and wide, so a group can crowd in shoulder to shoulder. The mock-up was in the client's hands by 8:17 pm.

We printed. A single 4 x 7 ft panel, sized to stand taller than the tallest person on the line.

We fabricated. Mounted, the photo window cut clean, and set on a solid black base so it stands steady on a factory floor.

We delivered. At 8:29 am it was up and standing in the factory. An hour and a half before the deadline.

What you see is what you get

Put the mock-up next to the photo from the factory floor. Same blue, same turbine, same line, same rangoli in the same corners. No "final may vary". Speed only counts if the quality comes with it, so the promise we make with every mock-up is simple: what you approve is exactly what arrives.

Why the 11th-hour calls come to us

Clients don't call at 6:30 in the evening because they think it's easy. They call because they know we'll deliver. That trust took five years to build, and we protect it one night at a time.

And it's no accident the people who pulled this off run team building for a living. When the team said "let's do this", nobody was doing it alone. It wasn't our first overnight for Vestas this Diwali, either: read how we dressed their Chennai office in Diwali at Vestas, overnight.
