Vestas Blade Factory: one townhall, every shift

When Vestas took over the TPI Composites blade factory in Chennai, the first townhall had to make every person on every shift feel part of one family.

A change of name on the gate is the easy part. When Vestas took over the TPI Composites blade factory in Chennai, the real question was how hundreds of people, working around the clock, would hear the news, feel it and own it. In June 2026, that started with a townhall.

The brief: nobody hears it second-hand

A blade factory never fully stops. People work in shifts, and a single morning session would have left whole teams catching up on the most important day of the year through hallway conversation. So we didn't run one townhall. We ran it for every shift, giving the people on the last shift the same welcome, the same stage and the same moment as the people on the first.

Same message. Same energy. Every shift.

A welcome that starts at the gate

The day began long before anyone sat down. From the factory entrance to the safety boards and the doors of the shop floor, the route was dressed in Vestas blue, with turbines and a simple word repeated at every turn: welcome. By the time people reached their seats, the change had already been felt, not just announced.

Turning a shop floor into a stage

We built the townhall right inside the factory: a full-width LED wall, a flower-lined stage and row after row of seats on the same floor where the blades are made. Holding it there said something no speech could: this is your place, and this moment belongs to you.

The centrepiece was an anamorphic film, curated in-house by our team, that brought the turbines on the LED wall to life with real depth. Wind, blades and the Vestas story rose off the screen, and a hall full of people who build those blades every day saw their work from a new angle.

Leadership, then the floor's turn

Leaders spoke about where Vestas is headed, why safety comes first, and what the future looks like for the factory and its people. Then the microphone turned around. Q&A with the floor turned a presentation into a conversation, which is exactly what a new beginning needs.

Why it works: Us, from the first day

A takeover can feel like something that happens to people. A great townhall makes it something that happens with them. It is the Us in our I to We to Us philosophy: a shared moment that turns a new name on the gate into a shared identity on the floor.

This is how we approach every corporate event: engagement first, production second, and nobody left out.
