MulticoreWare's people spend their days solving hard problems in code. They are brilliant individually. Team One, Goal One was about showing them how much more brilliant they are together.
Beyond the screen
The day began by getting people out from behind their monitors and into each other's stories. Ambitions, choices, bucket lists: the things you never learn on a stand-up call. Colleagues discovered surprising things in common, and teammates who had only ever been names in a chat became people.
Collaboration over competition
Engineers love to optimise, so the challenges that followed rewarded the smartest solution, not the fastest individual. Again and again, the winning move turned out to be the generous one: sharing what you know, asking for help, and making room for another team to win too. It is a lesson that travels straight back to a codebase.
When the goal is common, it only makes sense to collaborate.
Then, the dance floor
No great day ends quietly. The finale brought dares, music and dancing, and a room full of people who, a few hours earlier, might not have said more than hello to each other.
In their words
Dependable and worry-free is how I would describe Joy Stories.

That is the I to We to Us journey for a team of problem-solvers: from individual brilliance, to shared intelligence, to a culture people are proud to belong to.
Tech teams are some of the hardest to pull away from the screen, and the most rewarding to watch unplug. See how our team bonding activities work, or tell us about your team.
