Diwali is the festival of lights. At Rheinbrucke IT Consulting's Chennai office, it was also the day a quiet workspace turned colourful. We called it Dazzling Diwali.
Bringing the festival to the floor
Rheinbrucke's people came dressed for the occasion, and the office was already strung with marigolds, lanterns and lights. Our job was to turn that mood into something everyone shared.
True to our engagement format, it all happened right on the floor. No one had to book a hall or leave for the afternoon. Over a hundred people joined in between the desks, and for a while, work made room for celebration.

Warm-up first, then the main event
The afternoon ran on our Dilwale Diwali format. Quick icebreakers got people moving and mingling, and a Diwali Quiz on traditions, food and films got the whole floor shouting answers. Even the puzzles borrowed from the festival: the sweets everyone grows up with and the crackers everyone remembers.
Then came the three headline experiences. In Deck the Desk, teams dressed up their corner of the office for Diwali. Instagram Games brought quick, camera-friendly challenges inspired by viral reels to the floor. And Why Are You Like This? brought back games everyone knows, with ridiculous twists that made every round funnier.
The best moments weren't in the rules. They were in the faces. Colleagues from different teams leaning over the same puzzle. A shout going up from one corner and the whole floor turning to look.

Why festivals matter at work
For a growing team, festivals are one of the rare moments when everyone feels the same thing at the same time. Celebrated well, they say: you belong here, all of you.
A festival at work isn't a break from the team. It is the team.
That's the Us in our I to We to Us philosophy. Not one big party a year, but a rhythm of shared joy that, festival by festival, builds a culture people want to be part of. Want to see how we celebrated another festival on the floor? Read about Navratri at Beroe.
Planning festival celebrations at the office? Diwali, Navratri, Pongal and Christmas all sit on our Joy Calendar of employee engagement activities, and we bring them to your floor as part of our office festival celebrations. Let's plan your next one.
