Vestas' Global Siting Solutions team works out where the wind will do the most good: the analysis and planning behind every wind farm, long before a turbine goes up. On 21 August 2026, 120 of them stepped away from their screens for a full day built around four words: Connect, Adapt, Build and Celebrate.
Connect: conversation begins the day
The morning opened warm and fast. Within minutes, people were talking, moving and laughing with colleagues outside their usual circles. Teams formed deliberately across roles, and each one created its own identity before the real journey began.
Conversation begins the day. Connection carries it forward.
Adapt: yesterday's route, tomorrow's opportunity
Next, every team started from exactly the same place and faced a world that would not sit still. Opportunities shifted, signals had to be read, and disruption arrived when it was least convenient. The teams that thrived were the ones willing to question what had worked so far and prepare early for what might come next.
For a team whose work is all about reading the landscape before anyone else, the parallels were impossible to miss.
The route that created yesterday's success may not lead to tomorrow's opportunity.
Build: every handover matters
After lunch, the focus moved from strategy to interdependence. Each team owned one part of a shared outcome, and every part had to connect cleanly with the next. A strong section on its own was not enough. The real test was the handover, and nobody could finish the journey alone. When it came together, the whole room cheered it home.
Celebrate: win together
The day closed with a fast, punchy finale: speed with control, planning with agility, leadership with participation, and competition with team spirit.
Why it works
Connect, Adapt, Build and Celebrate is our I to We to Us journey in GSS's own language: open conversations across familiar circles, composure when conditions change, shared ownership at every interface, and a team that leaves as one.
The day creates more than winners. It creates a connected team.
Large groups need more than bigger games. Our corporate team building programmes are designed for a hundred people and more without losing the person in the crowd. Talk to us.
